Commonwealth Games Day 6 Preview

DAY 6 Preview – Tuesday 10th April

Day 6 sees Carrara stadium play host to the preliminary rounds for South Australian ATHLETICS competitor HENRY FRAYNE in the LONG JUMP.

Early in the day TRAVIS MAHONEY will swim for a spot in the final of the 200M MEN’S INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY. If he qualifies he will swim for a medal at 7.45pm ACST.  KYLE CHALMERS will also feature in the MEN'S 4 x 100m MEDALY RELAY

Men’s shooting team members GODWARDHOBERG and SAMPSON take part in the 50m AIR RIFLE PRONE preliminary rounds in the morning. They will be aiming to be competing for a medal in the final at 12.30pm ACST.

The CYCLISTS CALLUM SCOTSON and CAMERON MEYER will compete for medals in the MEN’S INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL event.

BASKETBALL moves to the elimination rounds as the OPALS and BOOMERS fight for a spot in the finals.

TERRY NICKOLAS has advance to the quarter finals for the MENS 69kg BOXING which will take place at 7:30pm ACST.

The BEACH VOLLEYBALL competition advances to the Quarter Final stage of the event. The WOMEN'S team will be competing at 3:30pm against Rwanda and the MEN will play Sierra Leone at 7:00pm ACST.

The WOMEN’S HOCKEY action continues with the HOCKEYROOS final pool match against Scotland at 9pm ACST.
