Surf Life Saving SA (SLSSA), Surf Sisters program will provide a pathway and support for female members to take up leadership positions within the Association and their local clubs.
The Surf Sisters program will initially target 100 females who are existing members of one of SLSSA 20 affiliated clubs.
“Board-ready boot camps”, and an accelerated two-day Bronze Medallion course, are two of the innovations designed specifically to help SLSSA women take the next step in their involvement with surf lifesaving.
The Office for Recreation and Sport provided $60,000 funding through the 2015-16 Sport and Recreation Development and Inclusion Program for Surf Sisters.
