The State Government program encourages these children to get involved in sport by providing reduced club fees.

Sporting clubs and associations can sign up to receive a $50 subsidy per child per year to discount their joining fees. To be eligible:

  • clubs and providers need to offer sport activity for a minimum 10 weeks duration
  • clubs need to be incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985.
  • for-profit businesses need to be registered with Consumer and Business Services
  • all providers need to have lodged a Child Safe Environment Compliance Statement with Families SA
  • private providers must be affiliated with their respective ‘recognised' state sport body
  • sports or organisations for people with disabilities must be recognised by the Australian Sports Commission (a full list can be found here).

The discount cannot be used for equipment purchase or a one-off ‘come and try’ type event.

Clubs and providers can get more information and complete the first component of the registration process at www.sportsvouchers.sa.gov.au.

Registration information for parents/guardians will be made available during term one.
