SA Healthy Towns Challenge launched

SA Healthy Towns Challenge

Round 2 of the SA Healthy Towns Challenge has been launched by the Minister for Health and Wellbeing. We encourage you to consider applying for a grant and also share this information with your networks via email, newsletters, social media or in person.

Round 1 of the Challenge was very successful, with 42 applications received. Grants were provided to six recipients, who are now on their way to improving the health and wellbeing of their town.

The SA Healthy Towns Challenge provides grants of up to $50,000 for projects that increase health and wellbeing through the prevention of illness and/or injury. A minimum of five grants will be available each year for four years and applications should address local health and wellbeing issues.

Applications supporting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in remote and regional communities are encouraged.

Please see here for the stakeholder information pack which includes a poster, social media content and other information. We encourage you to share this link and information with your networks.

Applications for Round 2 are now open and will close at 5.00pm on Monday, 15 April 2019.

Projects must be short term (up to 12 months) and undertaken in partnership with an External Partner, a not-for-profit organisation with expertise in health and wellbeing.
