Port Lincoln isn’t short on sunshine, so why not make the most of it – and cut your power bills in the process!
Certainly that was the thinking at the Port Lincoln Gymnastics Club; it’s just installed $13,000 worth of solar panels (the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing contributed nearly $11,000, through Round 43 of the Active Club Program).
Altogether the panels will generate just over 11 kilowatts of energy, making a significant dent in the club’s power bills. Even better, every cent and every dollar saved means there’s more cash available for the many other things on the club’s ‘to do’ list!
