This session is an introduction to ASD and will provide information on the following: - What ASD is and what we need to know to support children’s participation.
Topics covered in the session will include:
- behaviours – why these may be occurring and what could be impacting them (e.g. sensory preferences) + positive behavioural supports
- communication strategies
- environmental considerations - the importance of your relationship with each child and their family.
